Any Avondy member can opt out of personalized advertising on Avondy. Personalized advertising is also known as interest-based advertising. Personalized advertising enables advertisers to reach Avondy members based on their interests and demographics.

If you have an Avondy Account, you can opt-out of receiving personalized advertising:

  • You can opt-out by clicking the unsubscribe button at the bottom of the email from Avondy
  • You can opt-out by sending an email to support@avondy.com and requesting to be removed from the email list.

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), California residents are entitled to opt-out of the “sale” of their data at any time. Avondy does not sell personal information to third parties for monetary value. However, the term “sale” is defined broadly under the California Consumer Privacy Act and some may interpret it to include personalized advertising or interest-based advertising. You can opt-out of personalized advertising by following the instructions above.

How do I exercise my rights under GDPR?

For Avondy members in the European Union and EEA, by default you are opted out of personalized advertising. To opt-in, subscribe to our newsletter by visiting avondy.com

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) give individuals more transparency, rights, and control over the way their personal information is used. It also provides rights for data deletion, access, and portability.

As an Avondy member, you have the option to permanently close and delete your account. Permanently deleting your Avondy account can’t be undone.

If you don’t want your account to be permanently closed and deleted, you may consider:

Vacation Mode: When you put your store in vacation mode your store, products, or services are no longer visible on the site.

Unsubscribing from Avondy emails: You can keep your account open and change your email subscription settings. When you unsubscribe, you won’t receive marketing emails, but you will continue to receive emails such as when you make a transaction, we update our Terms of Use, or when required by law.

Before you permanently delete your Avondy account, check that:

For sellers

  • You have no amount due in your payment account
  • You have fulfilled all your orders
  • You have resolved all your cases
  • You have saved any information you need for tax or record keeping purposes

For buyers

  • All cases you opened are resolved
  • You have no additional cases you want to open, since you won’t have access to the case system after you close your account
  • You have saved any information you need for your records

To permanently close and delete your Avondy account contact support@avondy.com

For security and verification purposes, you must make the deletion request while logged into the Avondy account you’d like to close and delete. You must also reply to the “Confirm Deletion” email from support@avondy.com before the account can be deleted. Once the account is deleted, you will receive a confirmation email.

The permanent deletion process will begin once any open issues like overdue payments, unfulfilled orders, or unresolved cases are resolved, and may take around two weeks. Depending on which of our services you’ve used (such as whether you’ve made purchases or sales on Avondy) or if your account violated our policies, we may be required to retain certain information for legal, regulatory, tax, security, or compliance reasons for a limited period of time, after which it will be deleted.

This deletion is permanent, and your account cannot be reinstated.

Deleting an Avondy account doesn’t “free up” the associated email address for use on another Avondy account. Instead, the email address will become permanently unavailable to use on Avondy accounts.

If an Avondy account violates Avondy’s Terms of Use, Avondy may suspend buying and selling privileges or remove a store from search.

Some abilities and features are restricted when an account is suspended. If your account is suspended, you can’t:

  • Place orders on Avondy.
  • Receive new orders, and your store isn’t viewable on Avondy
  • Access the Avondy apps
  • Create listings in your store
  • Purchase or print Avondy shipping labels
  • Cancel existing orders
  • View reviews left by buyers in your store
  • Run an Avondy Ads campaign

If your store is removed from search, your store and listings won’t appear in search results on Avondy. When a store is unsearchable, Avondy Ads won’t run on Avondy and you won’t be charged fees for these ads.

You’ll continue to have access to all sections of your account in the Avondy apps and Avondy.com, including order history, cases, and Messages. You can issue refunds, cancel orders, and print Avondy shipping labels.

Whether you choose to place your store in Vacation Mode or Avondy does so on your behalf, your listings will no longer appear in our search results and cannot be purchased.

Accounts on Avondy may be suspended for a variety of reasons. Depending on the reason your account was suspended you may see a banner in your Store Manager, and you may also receive an email from Avondy with details about your suspension.

  • If you didn’t receive an email, check your spam or junk mail folder. If you find the email, you should respond directly to this email for more information about the reason for your suspension.
  • If you can’t find a relevant email, contact support@avondy.com

How to Contact Avondy Support

Avondy Support can help you with account, store, or purchasing issues. Contact support@avondy.com

You need to sign in to your Avondy account to contact Avondy Support at support@avondy.com

If you have questions about an item or order you purchased, you can contact the seller. Sellers can help with order tracking or specifics about an item.

Problems with your order

If you don’t receive your order or it doesn’t match the description in the listing on Avondy, you can open a case with the seller.

If your account privileges were permanently suspended due to a policy violation and you’d like to continue selling on Avondy, you may file an appeal with Avondy by emailing support@avondy.com

What happens after I file my appeal?

A specialist will review your appeal and your account history, and reply with a final decision over email. Due to the complex nature of these investigations, it can take up to several weeks to receive a decision.

Submitting an appeal doesn’t guarantee reinstatement of your account privileges. The appeal only ensures that a qualified specialist will conduct a review of your account history and information to determine the status of your account.

What happens if my appeal is unsuccessful?

If a specialist determines that your account will remain permanently closed, there will be no further consideration of reinstatement. We encourage you to be transparent and forthcoming with any details requested during the appeals process, as it is a seller’s final chance to potentially reopen their business on Avondy.

Who can appeal a suspension?

Appeals may only be filed after account privileges are permanently suspended. Filing an appeal is not necessary for issues that are considered in progress, such as non-delivery or not-as-described cases. Appeals filed for accounts with unresolved issues (such as open cases or unpaid balances) will not be reviewed until those matters are resolved.

Suspensions for multiple policy violations, or those issued by our Legal team are not eligible for appeals (i.e., repeat notices of intellectual property infringement).

If you see an item being sold on Avondy that violates our policies, please contact support@avondy.com. Please include a link to the product in your email.

A notice will be sent to Avondy Admin to review the item.

We may contact the seller or take other appropriate action.

This is a confidential process. Avondy will not tell the seller the name of the member who reported them.
